Our commitment to diversity includes fair representation and a safe, welcoming space for all participants. Equity ensures fair treatment and meaningful access to our programs, and inclusion creates a sense of belonging where every voice is heard and valued.

RESPECT & COMMUNITY AGREEMENTS

At Xtatic, respect is fundamental in all interactions, whether with peers, staff, or host communities. We value differences, celebrate diversity, and approach multiple perspectives thoughtfully. Xtatic students, as representatives of their communities, are expected to model respect throughout the program.

Before or upon arrival, students, program leaders, and community members will collaborate to create Group Community Agreements. These guidelines promote respectful interactions and strengthen everyone’s commitment to program goals.

LGBTQ+ INCLUSION STATEMENT

Xtatic is dedicated to creating a space where all students, regardless of sexual orientation or gender identity, can participate fully and confidently.

We understand the unique challenges LGBTQ+ students may encounter, especially when traveling internationally. In support of inclusivity, Xtatic will provide rooming accommodations that respect each student’s preferences, while also fostering a positive group dynamic.

Prior to the program, we will engage with students and families to discuss individual needs and preferences, considering any cultural or legal factors at the program’s location to prioritize safety and well-being.

Xtatic staff will consistently use students’ chosen names and pronouns, reinforcing our commitment to a supportive environment. 

 

DORMING GUIDELINES

Xtatic provides safe, comfortable accommodations where students can relax and connect. Home Base serves as a central gathering space for meals, reflections, and group activities, offering a place to recharge. Depending on the program, students may stay at one or multiple Home Base locations or go on overnight excursions.

• Room Assignments: Rooms are assigned based on students’ communicated gender identity. For transitioning, non-binary, or gender non-conforming students, we will work to ensure accommodations align with their comfort.
• Flexibility: We strive to honor rooming preferences, but some travel conditions may require adjustments. Xtatic reserves the right to modify assignments as needed for safety and group harmony.
• Privacy: Students may only enter their assigned rooms unless staff grants permission. Xtatic staff will also have private accommodations aligned with their gender identity and preferences.
